This program is exceptional. If I can be very honest, I just started a business. I wrote a mediocre business plan and filed it away. This program allowed me to understand all of the parts of a business plan and to write a great business plan that I could be proud of and share with potential partners or receive grants. Mark and Aldrica were invaluable during this process and my business plan would not be where it is without them. The added weekly sessions with Mark were so important to make sure I was able to write the business plan as well as the opportunity to talk about my business each week. I was given invaluable resources that I would not have known about without taking a lot of time to research them which has saved me so much time in the long-run. The Entrepreneur Program has been helpful in establishing key business foundations. Whether a new business or one that has been established, it helped me review key areas of my business that was important for me to continue to grow. Understanding the marketing phase and what that means for my business is essential for continued growth. The one-on-one meetings was helpful for accountability and reviewing my own paperwork that was in place.  I just want to thank you for the opportunity.

I enjoyed the program because my business is just beginning and my business plan was basic. I learned about to use the census for market research which was very insightful. The business plan I completed during the course was specific and tailored toward what the banks are looking for especially if you require funding for your business.

I just want to say think you so much Virginia Diverse Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur for having such an amazing business class. This class was definitely helpful and needed for me. What I like most about it was having meetings at least once a week with Mark to see where are we at in our business and if we have any questions/concerns that is our time to do so. I took a class similar to this but it wasn’t much help for me at the time because everyone was on a different level of business and I was still stuck on how do I overcome situations I was in and Mark and Aldrica has been such a great resource and help for me and my business and it’s been such a relief.

Have you ever started a training program, that left you in a Better position then you were before you Started? It’s a Yes for me! After signing up for an 8-week Entrepreneurial Training program, by the Virginia Diverse Chamber of Commerce. We met every Tuesday at 6pm EST with President Extraordinaire Ms. Aldrica Lattimore and other industry experts including Mr. Mark Robinson of Operation Hope. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which made it easier for me and the other attendees to participate and show up for ourselves to learn and grow. I personally learned something new; a data search tool that is excellent for researching businesses in various states that you can operate in. It’s all about location, location, location! The training is great for new businesses as well as existing businesses to stay focused on your business plan and review it as you progress. One particular module stood out for me was getting organized for business funding. The importance of keeping good financial records to present to banks and other lenders. I actually had two software programs, after the class I took action and canceled the one I didn’t need! The Pitch competition was actually super-fun once a person has all the homework assignments completed. I highly recommend investing your time in this short-sweet, 8-week Entrepreneurial Training program! This 8-week program helped elevate my business in ways I didn’t realize were necessary.
