Rev. Kevin McNeil brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role as the Virginia Diverse Chamber of Commerce Clergy Faith-Based Community Liaison. Formerly serving as the Senior Pastor of Bethany Christian Church D.O.C. in Roanoke, VA, and now appointed as Interim Regional Minister and President at the Christian Church in Tennessee D.O.C., Rev. McNeil is a respected figure in both religious and community leadership.
With a background that includes roles as a Campus Pastor at the University of Lynchburg, a teacher in Roanoke City Schools, and extensive experience in adult alternative education, Rev. McNeil embodies a commitment to education, social justice, and community empowerment. As a certified Anti-Racism Pro-Reconciliation trainer and a member of the Commission on Standing for the Region of Virginia of the Christian Church (D.O.C.), he actively works towards promoting inclusivity and understanding in both religious and secular contexts.
Beyond his professional roles, Rev. McNeil is a fervent supporter of informed civic engagement and community development. He conducts leadership and boundaries training for various organizations and plays a crucial role in Virginia Diverse Chamber of Commerce events. His contributions, including leading Community Prayers, participating in ribbon-cutting ceremonies, moderating community engagement events, and supporting community revitalization efforts, showcase his dedication to empowering and uniting diverse communities.
Rev. McNeil holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Miami (FL), as well as an M.A. in Counseling and an M.Div. from Liberty University. His multifaceted background and unwavering commitment to social equality and community well-being make him an invaluable asset in his role as the Virginia Diverse Chamber of Commerce Clergy Faith-Based Community Liaison.
