Alyssa Harris

Alyssa Harris, a proud native of Danville, has made the Roanoke area her home for the past five years. With a license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and medication assistant, she has devoted herself to the healthcare field, particularly in caring for the elderly, for the past seven years. Alyssa’s passion for providing compassionate care is matched only by her commitment to making a positive impact in her community.

 

Beyond her healthcare pursuits, Alyssa has been actively involved with special needs children for over 15 years, demonstrating her genuine care and support for these individuals. Her involvement with the Roanoke Special Olympics and dedication to various community service causes have allowed her to offer her time, skills, and encouragement to those in need.

 

Alyssa’s journey also includes her membership at the Galilean House of Worship, where she has found spiritual fulfillment and artistic expression through her participation in the liturgical dance team since the age of 11. This experience has nurtured her faith and provided her with a platform to share her creativity and passion for dance.

 

As a founding member and Ambassador Chair of the Virginia Diverse Chamber of Commerce, Alyssa has played a pivotal role in promoting diversity and economic growth within her community. Her involvement with the chamber has not only allowed her to support its growth and success through volunteering, but it has also served as a catalyst for her entrepreneurial spirit. Inspired and motivated by her experiences with the chamber, Alyssa has recently launched her own business venture.

 

Driven by her dedication to the healthcare field, her advocacy for special needs children, and her desire to make a difference in her community, Alyssa Harris stands as an inspiring figure.
