Montana Tarpley is a dedicated individual currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Strayer University. In 2013, Montana‘s life took an unexpected turn, leading to a label as a felon in society.
However, Montana‘s resilience, determination, and the support of a strong community of accountability partners enabled a remarkable transformation, allowing Montana to reclaim control of life and overcome the challenges presented.
Following the restoration of rights, Montana has been deeply involved in volunteering and working in various youth-focused roles, driven by a passionate commitment to keeping young individuals out of trouble and guiding them towards positive paths. With a strong determination to reform and rebuild the youth community, Montana is dedicated to ensuring that personalized plans are in place to meet the unique needs of each client.
With 15 years of experience as a Youth Care Specialist, Educational Coordinator, and Program Director at the Boys and Girls Club, Montana has honed expertise in youth development and support. In addition, Montana is an entrepreneur and the founder and president of CMT Transportation, demonstrating a strong background in business and leadership.
Montana has a long and impactful history of community service and volunteerism, exemplified by the current role as the Small Business Advisory Committee Chair of the Virginia Diverse Chamber of Commerce.
Through these experiences, Montana has gained valuable insights into the needs of the community and has been actively involved in initiatives aimed at making a positive difference.
Driven by a deep commitment to youth empowerment and community betterment, Montana Tarpley has established Second Hands as a Diversion program, seeking to support individuals who have been affected by the justice system and prevent the creation of a criminal record.
