The Virginia Diverse Chamber of Commerce’s vision for the Youth Entrepreneur Program is to create and foster competitive esports programs through the lens of entrepreneurship, academics, and learning in Virginia’s elementary, middle schools, high schools, colleges, after-school programs, and organizations.
We recognize that esports offers a unique platform to cultivate entrepreneurial skills and mindset among the youth. Through our Youth Entrepreneur Program, we aim to harness the power of esports to inspire creativity, innovation, and business acumen in the next generation of leaders.

Key aspects of our program include:

Entrepreneurial Mindset: We believe that entrepreneurship is not limited to starting a business but also encompasses a mindset of problem-solving, adaptability, and resilience. By integrating entrepreneurship principles into esports programs, we encourage students to think critically, take calculated risks, and develop an entrepreneurial mindset that can be applied to various aspects of their lives.

Academic Integration: Our program emphasizes the importance of academic excellence. We encourage students to excel academically while participating in esports activities. By combining the excitement of gaming with rigorous academic standards, we inspire students to find the balance between their passion for esports and their commitment to education.

Business and Leadership Skills: Through workshops, seminars, and mentorship opportunities, we provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the business side of esports. Topics covered may include marketing, event management, finance, teamwork, leadership, and project management. We believe that by equipping students with these skills, we are empowering them to become future entrepreneurs and leaders in the esports industry.

Partnerships and Networking: We actively seek partnerships with local businesses, industry professionals, and educational institutions to provide students with exposure to real-world experiences and networks. Through these collaborations, students can gain insights into the esports industry, access internships, job shadowing, and mentorship opportunities, and build meaningful connections that can help shape their future careers.

Community Engagement: We understand the importance of community support in fostering entrepreneurship. Our program engages with the local community, including parents, educators, business owners, and community leaders, to create a supportive ecosystem for aspiring young entrepreneurs. By involving the community, we can provide students with access to resources, guidance, and a network of support.
