State Affiliate NASEF

We are excited to announce that we have established a new partnership with the Network Academic Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF) as a statewide affiliate. This collaboration will significantly enhance our efforts to support and empower the youth in Virginia through academic scholastic esports gaming programs.

The Virginia Diverse Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving and advocating for diverse businesses in historically marginalized and rural communities. We prioritize the support of Black-owned, Hispanic-owned, Asian-owned, LGBTQ+IA-owned, Veteran-owned, and Women-owned small businesses. Our mission is to promote and assist in advocacy, empowerment, entrepreneurship, education, procurement opportunities, workforce development, training, coaching, business development strategy, and increasing operating capacity. We strive to ensure economic fairness for all.

Through our partnership with NASEF, we are expanding our focus to include the development of academic scholastic esports gaming programs for the youth in Virginia. Esports has gained significant popularity and recognition as a competitive and educational platform, and we believe in harnessing its potential to create positive and impactful experiences for our young students.

Our Youth Esports State program aims to provide opportunities for students to engage in competitive esports gaming while also promoting academic excellence and personal growth. By integrating gaming with educational components, we seek to foster essential skills such as teamwork, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, and digital literacy.

Key program highlights include:

  1. Esports Tournaments and Leagues: We will organize exciting tournaments and leagues where students can showcase their skills and compete against their peers. These events will be structured, fair, and inclusive, providing a level playing field for all participants.

  2. Academic Integration: We believe in the power of education. Our program will encourage the integration of esports into school curricula, allowing students to apply their gaming experiences to various academic subjects, such as STEM, social sciences, and communication.

  3. Scholarships and Pathways: We understand the importance of recognizing talent and providing opportunities for further growth. Through partnerships with educational institutions and industry leaders, we will create scholarship programs and pathways for students interested in pursuing careers in esports and related fields.

  4. Mentorship and Coaching: Our program will provide mentorship and coaching opportunities, connecting students with experienced professionals in the esports industry. These mentors will guide and inspire students, helping them develop their skills and achieve their goals.

  5. Community Engagement: We believe in building a supportive and inclusive community. Our program will organize workshops, seminars, and networking events to foster connections among students, educators, industry professionals, and community members who share a passion for esports.
